Description

The Stanford Treeathlon is back at Pacific Shores for the 2024 WCCTC season! We are pleased to offer one of the Bay Area's premier sprint-distance triathlons at the scenic port of Redwood City. The Treeathlon is the primary fundraiser for the Stanford Triathlon Team and Stanford's part in the WCCTC race series. The race is for beginners and elites alike.

Wave schedule - Subject to Change

9:30-10:45 Transition open for Classic athletes

10:45 Transition closes

10:30-10:45 Swim warm-up (swim warm-up is also allowed in between waves)

10:50 am Collegiate Male

11:00 am Collegiate Female

11:30 am Age Group Males 39 and under 

11:50 am Age Group Males 40+ 

12:15 pm All Age Group Females and Relay Teams

12:55 pm Swim course cutoff

2:25 pm Bike course cutoff

2:30 pm Transition reopens (or when the last racer finishes the bike portion)

Transition will be open 9:30-10:45 AM (closed during the Draft Legal race). All athletes must be out of transition by 10:45 am to ensure transition is clear while other athletes are racing.

Note: Our Draft Legal race will be going on from 7:45-9:30 am. Their transition is separate but adjacent to the Classic transition. Please give right of way to racing athletes.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup will be held on Saturday, March 2, from 10:30 AM-4PM near the race site at Sports Basement Redwood City, 202 Walnut St., Redwood City, CA, 94063. The race packet contains the race bib, swim cap, helmet stickers, etc. We strongly encourage you to pick up your packet on Saturday to avoid lines but will hold race-day packet pickup from 7-10AM at the race venue in case you are unable to. Additionally, racers get 20% off Sports Basement purchases during packet pickup hours!

AWARDS

We will have prizes for the top 3 in each age category (see FAQ for more info).

Our formal awards ceremony will be at 1:30 PM on race day. If you cannot attend the ceremony, you can pick up your awards at the awards table near the finish.

WE WILL NOT MAIL ANY AWARDS - YOU MUST ATTEND THE AWARDS CEREMONY OR PICK THEM UP AT THE TABLE NEAR THE FINISH AFTER THE RACE.
